The Land of Dust and Comets isn’t what a SGRUB land should be. You know because you’ve gotten into the code – the old, old shit writ on temple walls that Aradia dug up for your sake, because she’s angry in a way you can’t be any longer, and the older shit than that, scribed into every atom and best accessed in the instant when fission becomes cascading release. The way it works is simple: every troll gets a planet and a quest. You guess it’s supposed to make you better at being the kind of god this universe wants – but you’re not a troll, or the kind of god that anyone wants, and the Game adapts.

You got a nebula. FF said it was beautiful, when you sent her pics of space dust glittering in the diffuse light, and you guess it is. It’s quiet and cold and full of radiation, and there’s nobody else in it, not even consorts. Not even crew. The Game didn’t take them with you when it pulled you into the Medium. You’re a hive full of empty hallways. You haven’t decided yet whether you’re sorry about that.

Maybe you got a quest too, but fuck anything, ever, that tries to own you. Skaia encoded your world. It scripted your life.

You’re going to fucking dismantle it.
