Jade’s been busy building worlds.
This one’s all moss and swampwater, fallen trees and frogs. Not universes, just amphibians. Every twenty-seven-and-a-third Earth hours, approximately-speaking, night falls again, and they fill the air with resonant croaks.
That song’s a reminder: she set the spin and course of their planet, and Feferi, crouching among the rushes with mud up to her elbows, breathed life into the first of them; Aradia was there when the first one died, and she still carries its ghost around on her shoulder. It’s hard work, setting everything in motion! But frogs and universes belong only to themselves.
